ive had enough of the Poweflex pillowball bushes i got fitted to the car - too harsh for a daily driver on local NI roads. So being replaced by these solid rubber offerings from Megan Racing which hopefully will be a lot more suited to daily driving
Powerflex ones would be great on track, or if you just used the car as a weekend toy

the Whiteline items look better made item than the SuperPro, but i wasnt prepared to risk anymore NVH hence just going for solid rubber type.

Picked the hatch up from the garage on Wednesday there after having a few issues sorted. Both front struts were worn, top mount was goosed, both track rods and track rod ends were needing replaced.
Oil was overfilled by 0.5 litre and the engine is leaking from 3 separate places. Albeit not that bad, fresh oil has been put in and I've just to keep an eye on the level over time. As for the suspension I had already purchased BC br coilovers so they were stuck on and set up for fast road.
The handling now is absolutely spot on, I'm looking forward to proper dry roads and higher temps, the car goes well and I'm happy again, just a few silly wee problems to fix. Both front inner arch liners are literally falling apart, and the windscreen washer bottle is leaking. I believe the pipe for the rear pump has came off so the jobs for this month is try and tidy the arch liners up and inspect the bottle to see what's wrong.
Other than that, I'll just try and enjoy the car. I went through a stage there where I was like the honeymoon period was over because of the issues and had contemplated selling the car. I put far too much trust in the seller purely down to the fact that he was a mechanic in the army and builds and prepares rally cars with his Dads company.....anyway what's done is done, he has agreed to cover the cost of the track rods which is better than **** all.
If the oil leak isn't too bad and the engine just uses the normal amount of oil for a forged build then I'll enjoy as it is but further down the line the plan will be to go 450/450.....then the issues with the seeping oil will be sorted.
A few pics I took on the way home, stopped off in Callander for a quick brew. Car was minging, she's all clean now......probably take her out tomorrow.

Glad your back on the right track mate
Well guys had a late one last night ran car down to mates garage
Give it full oil change inc trans and diff
Not as hard as i imagined
Must say was well worth borrowing mates ramp makes life a lot easier
Car feels alot smoother now the diff oil was like old engine oil really black and its only just hit 40k
Gear and engine looked quite clean though but changed them to be sure

CAUTION:
• Because the halogen bulb operates at a high temperature, dirt and oil on the bulb surface reduces the bulb’s service life. Hold the flange portion when replacing the bulb. Never touch the glass portion.
• Do not leave the headlight without a bulb for a long time. Dust, moisture, etc. entering the headlight may affect its performance.
1. Disconnect the ground cable from battery.
2. Remove the clips and remove the air intake duct. (When removing the headlight bulb RH).
3. Remove the battery cover. (When removing the headlight bulb LH)
4. Tilt the washer tank filler neck. (When removing the headlight bulb LH)
5. Disconnect the bulb connector.
6. Remove the bulb assembly (A) then remove the high beam.

too early for me, was looking at this on my phone, thought it was real for a minute....ps, I knew something wasn't right!!!
It's been a while yet looking to get back in the fold. Currently considering a legacy however if the right Forged hatch or saloon presented itself I'd consider it, so anyone thinking of selling up or know of a good one drop me a PM
Cheers, Steve

I'm back
Hello Ladies and Gents
After starting this thread what seems like a life time ago and forced to leave Subaru ownership on page 135, I'm pleased to say after a lot of lows and saving, I'll be collecting a MY09 STI on Saturday Same colour as my first one(see page one). Can't wait!
Really staggered how this thread has grown. I remember writing to the admins to see if we could have our own area after page 100, guess it never happened.
I'll obviously be posting pics after collecting
