Armour is taking over as UK + European Distributor.
No idea with regards to staff. I would think that they will be offered positions at armour automotive.

? what are you talking about
ToadVTD recently sold their Toad range of alarms to Scorpion so now Scorpion are the distributor. Toad alarms were never made by Toad so even when they were selling them, they were nothing more than a distributor for Lite-on (the company who makes the Ai606). DEI have decided that the amount of business in the UK doen't warrant having a dedicated office here and have appointed Armour Automotive as a distributor......
So where is the difference.? If it's been good enough for Toad for the last 10 years, i'm pretty sure it will be good enough for them.
I fail to see how being sold via a distributor has any impact on quality or level of service. Especially when you consider that a huge amount of in car electronics are sold to dealers through distributors and not direct from the manufacturer.

They still offer the best range of systems on the market and TBH i dont see it being an issue that they will now be distributed by armour. Especially since Sean (ex head of directed's technical dept), works with armour's technical dept. If anything, there may be more advances with the systems under armours direction.
Only time will tell.

Just find when stock moves and staff dont know part numbers technical things that they should know with alarms ( Suitability ) etc then you are in for a nightmare.

Don't blame directed for using another company as a distributor it makes sense with the way the economy is going. You save on overheads but your product still stays in the industry, Toad recently sold to scorpian, directed are not selling they are using armour as a distributor. Armour have already got someone from directed that worked at directed technical for 15 years so dont see any problems really.
I love the way fitters that cant fit clifford slag the brand off.
