The siren is knackered.
With a 50x being fitted, in the long run its gonna be easier to replace the whole thing I reckon, unless an installer somewhere still has one knocking about.
Not gonna do you a lot of good being silent, and only takes one activation in front of the wrong person to end in tears.

If you have the battery backup one then its possible, but the siren should still be receiving a live feed surely.
As I say on most alarm threads, get it off to your local friendly Clifford dealer and see what they can do for you.

Sirens are prone to damage from water and debris, as is the wiring into them. Worth checking everything is connected, and maybe testing for a live feed.

Isn't there an option that you can disable the siren, by certain clicks of the keyfob on Cliffords?

Has it been like this long?

I was right (Although it might not be your problem):

http://www.directeddealers.com/manua...xuk_owners.pdf

There's some dignostic stuff in here you can use anyway, and also details how to turn silent settings off (If they ARE On that is!).
