Don't have a problem with mine, but I know Fizz had some grief with his a while back. He told me over a "few" Stellas so I can't remember what the problem was. I'll point him in the direction of this thread.

Have you contacted Clifford? Feckin dangerous ain't the word!!

The black-jax has now been completely removed and the vehicle is fine, was very scary doing 80 round a bend and losing engine and power steering!

I have spoken to the alarm guy and he no longer fits these. He has fitted 3 in the last few months and every one has failed and the car has to be towed away. He said he wont be fitting them any more.

Anyone else had problem?

I have to say, that we get very few of these back, and very few of them are actually faulty. The system has latching circuits onboard so it cannot immobilise unless the unit sees a theft attempt. It does sound like an installation issue, especially if 3 have gone down in a month. If there was a common fault, I would know about it.

Does sound dodgy that the same bloke fitted 3 alarms and they all failed!

Never had any problems with mine.. apart from it being very annoying! Entering a code everytime you or passenger opens the car door!

Not good for a quick get away!

Another vote for b/jax

Sounds like a ****e install M8!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Never had trouble with mine, since it was re-installed properly

If it’s any help, these issues spring to mind.

1. Wire in before the ignition to give a clean feed.
2. Don’t put the switch pad on a switch insert because they are concaved and break down the plain view switch
3. Make sure it’s a converted unit to fit into a Subaru, if its part of a Clifford 500

Good product don’t knock it!

Used the system for two and a half years. Never any problems at all. But there again, it was installed by a professional.....

Sounds like the bloke that fitted these three failed ones isn't doing the job properly....
