What I don't understand is why you have been sold an M30 in the 1st place. It is a category one alarm/immobiliser which should NOT be sold over the counter under any circumstances to an incompetent individual such as yourself. That is not meant as an insult, but that to state a fact you are obviously not a qualified vehicle alarm installer. I would strongly recommend that you contact either Alwyn Jones or Tony Parker at Uplands head office in Swansea and bring it to their attention that one of their branches has sold you this alarm and ask them for a response ASAP.
Installing this alarm yourself will in the best case scenario not be approved and in the worse case could prove fatal. I'm sure there must be a competent company close enough to you where you could have a category 1 installed for not much more than you've paid. The Sigma is a good alarm but if, like any alarm it's not installed properly it's virtually USELESS!
TAKE IT BACK!

in addition
hate to point out that i am in fact a fully qualified auto electrician.....
and also have run my own vehicle security company for the last 4 years.
i have installed many cat1 alarms mainly gt and selca cat2 imobilisers.
and have completed the vsib.
so before you give out insults check your facts!
if anyone is incompitant it's you mate!!!

As an accredited VSIB company then, could you tell us who you are then please? ie, company name and location andd why then don't you just deal direct with Toad direct or certainly just call Sigma's technical hotline, which of course you will have the details too. Please enlighten the forum.

well mate i was trained at halls auto eletrical for three years and studied at soundwell college in filton where i gained all my qualifications (5yrs)
then went on to work for another car security company for two years.
then i opened up my own business called car secure!
to which i went on courses provided by gt auto alarm!!!
i was also supplied by toad themselves and autowatch.
i no longer run my own business as i have moved to devon where thieveing little ***** is unheared of. (hence not alot of business here)
as for contacting toad i no longer have any details of rep's like richard.
or webb distribution who supplied most of the toad gear to me.
as for the lamda sensor i have never entered into that side of the mechanics/electrics so as i said get your facts right MATE!!!
i am not embarrased to admit i dont know a thing about mechanics and i have loads of respect for the people that do.
obviously you think too highly of yourself and think you are better than others on here!
i have been on here just to plainly seek advice from other frienldy members but not from the likes of arrogant people like you.
shame you cant show others a little common courtesy.
im just trying to help a friend and you stick your oar in when all i wanted was help.

OK kids, stop throwing stuff out of the pram.
Sigma Technical (VTD) can be called on 01928 570 555.
They are really helpful and due to the fact that the M30 is a factory item, can even tell you where to pick up all of your connections.
Failing that if you are on good terms with your local scooby dealer, they have a folder as my... well it pretty thick with different wiring diagrams including how to fit an M30 to a scooby. Please bear in mind that if your car is an import or early UK (pre 98 facelift) you may have to fit a cdl motor in the drivers door to turn the rest of the locks. If later than your can get the locking on the single white wire with silver hoops. VTD will explain.
I know a few days ago you asked me for a wiring diagram but as some of the other posts for this thread touched lightly on, I wasn't 100% sure about giving that sort of info out. I work for Toad and have got a New Sigma S30 fitted to my scooby. But if I did give out that info and it was used against me (and that doesn't mean I believe you would) it would mean instant dismissal and a date at court due to confidentiality agreements.
I hope I have helped, even if it is only a little.
