The other options you have is Tracker Retrieve- basic tracking device that is activated once you inform Police and Tracker that vehicle has been stolen.
Tracker Monitor - vehicle is fitted with a movement sensor, any unauthorised movement of vehicle Tracker will contact owner to confirm theft of vehicle.

At MotorGuard we can fit a Retrieve for scooby net users for £225 and a Monitor for £350. Call us for any other enquiries on 0121 359 1617

So If I've purchased a car with the Tracker on it, is it myself that contacts Tracker to get them to change to my details or would it be the previous owner??

How much is a years subscription for the monitor? Is the first year included in the £350?

The £350 for the monitor does not include annual subscription. The annual subscription is £109 regardless you go for the retrieve or the monitor. You can also go for a one of subscription payment of £325 and is worthwhile if you are going to keep the car for more than 3 years.

The unit is not by RAC but by Tracker.

If someone was nicking a car with monitor, how does it decide that it's being nicked? I mean - when the owner of the car gets in - does it have to be dis-armed?

its got a mercury tilt switch rumble sensor. the unit works in such a way that it recognises when the vehicle has been moved without the keys, this is classed as an illegal movement here at tracker we will call u to see if u are aware that the vehicle is being moved if not we will start tracking the vehicle generally get it back within 5 - 10 mins our record is 4 mins.

I have tracker monitor on mine and can reccommend it.
It was put to use recentlyand with the help of a police helecopter and panda's my car was recovered in 45 minutes.

Cant say anymore than that as its going to court.

Did one of you lot use to post as dr clifford on here a while ago?
Also i have a meta alarm and immoboliser on my car.
I was told today that you cannot have a blackjax fitted with these alarms
Is this true, as i was thinking of having one of these fitted.
