Default motorhome security install

I have a 03 wrx with a clifford 500 and a tracker. My Parents have just spent 70k on a new motorhome, and it hs no security on it what so ever.

So they want a good vehicle alarm system but also want to be able to use a permimeter alarm whilst they are in the van sleeping at night.

is this possible ?. Would the clifford 2 zone proximity sensor be configurable to disable the internal sensor and just arm outside ??.

any more suggestions ??.

I'd speak to a motor home specialist. A good friend of the family uses Leisure Power in Warrington, don't know how near they are to you. He said they're really helpful so maybe give them a call and talk it over.

As well as a conventional alarm, you should definitely look into a gas sensor. Apparently there were a spate of thefts on the French autoroutes last year which involved the criminals pumping the cabin full of a "knock out" gas, then gaining entry and taking contents. This only happened at the rest stops mind you, not at the main service areas.

Cheers,
Alex
