Default Toad ai606 problem ????

Have a " toad ai606 " car alarm/immobiliser fitted to my car, everything works fine, but recently noticed that the feature that locks the doors on there own when the engine is switched off, ( say when at a petrol station etc ) has stopped working, now not sure if I have possibly switched this facilty accidentaly off by use off the remote control fob buttons ??

the car still locks itself after the set time when the car engine is switched on, and obviously the alarm/locking/immobiliser features still work okay by use off the keyfob arm/ disarm buttons, but its just this self locking ( when engine switched off ) feature that is not playing the game !!!

any ideas ?? have looked thru the handbook supplied with the toad, but dont seem to find the relevant info ??!!

cheers,
john...

There is auto re-locking on re-arm (where you have switched the alarm off by remotre and then not-opened the car for 60 secs)....

And there is passive arming (where you switch off ign. then open & close a door).....but this cannot auto lock - it just isn't a function on the 606....

Are you sure it used to do what you say? Doesn't tie in with anything in my installers manual...?

Thanks for the reply, strange one that !! as it deffinately did carry out this function before !! but agread that it does not mention it in the users handbook. even remember being told at the time off buying the car by the seller mentioning to be carefull and take out the keys from ignition when paying for pertol etc, as you may well come back to the car locked with the keys still inside !!!!

anyway, mystery, but not a major problem !! thanks again,

john...
