RAC Tackstar recoveries?

Have anyone on here been fortunate to have their stolen car recovered thanks to their Trackstar system?
I've got one on my P1, and when reading up on how it is traced by RAC and then the Police informed, i was unsure of the effectiveness of the system.
Just realised i'd missed an r out in the title..........********!
