got a new subaru impreza its a 1999 one but its limited how do i take the limiter off cause 112 mph its too f ing slow .

 

I know it can be done with a Tactrix cable linked to the ecu. got to the ECU section on scoobypedia it tells u more about them

 

Does it still read in KPH also.

I'm pretty sure you can get what you need of Ebay speedo converter and limiter.

 

is anyone local that can have a look at what i have just got the car its a uk model but its got all sorts in it and i know very little about cars at the best of time . get yous a few beers if anyone can help me out i stay in larkhall i really need step by step guidance on what i need to get for my car . i will tell u the basice of what i know the car has its a p1 bottom end sti top and a p1 ecu any one help lol

Not so sure. Whats the Rev's like in each gear? Ie motorway at 70 in 5th whats the revs at?

 

2750 in 5th gear at 70 on the motorway m8

 

Sounds a little low on the revs to be an RA box. Can you get the code of the gearbox maybe able to identify it that way.

Where abouts you from?

 

in my experience 112mph = electronic limit = jap car and not a UK one. Best check your insurance or have a word with the person you've bought it off as they may have sold you a kipper.

that said, unless you are racing the thing what do you need to go over 122mph for? I had a limited mitsi for a couple of years and must have hit the limiter twice in that time (on private roads)

Sorry mate not local no. When your doing a 112mph in 5th is the revs at 7000rpm? if not its not an RA box and its something else. Hard to say with the mix and match of parts.
