Sytner Ferrari Track Day @ Knockhill 2morrow
Is anyone heading up to see the Ferrari's at Knockhill tomorrow (sat 21st)
I think it will be a cracking sight - all that red...
I'm gonna leave Rutherglen about 9am... if anyone wants to meet on the way up.
Cheers
Rich

I was there. Saw a couple of nice scoobs. I thought it was £8 well spent. Some nice cars on show. Anybody going to the hot hatch day tomorrow ? I should be there. Might be getting on the track (as a passenger) for the first time in an MG Midget.

I did see your mates Escort - very nice was wondering if that was why the Police Merc kept racing away from me..... possibly to get a better look. They didnt hang about when they got to the motorway maybe trying to see how long it took to do a Hamilton via Cambuslang and the M74 Loop!!
Day wasnt bad - as my baldie napper will testify (look like mister tomatoe head!!) - weather very nice for knockhill and the cars were a change to see.
Dont know if it was worth the £8 a head to see but it was a good day all round and stayed from about 10am - 15.00 so got some moneys worth out it.
Got some ok photies from my digital camera but would have preferred the video camera to get the full effect of the cars engines - sweeeettt!!!! But after the last video (burps and all) my sister in law took it away on holiday with her!!!
Again got some pictures of the day and when i get my webspace sorted (ask ntl nicely for my password - again!!) i will be able to post a selection.
Where were you off to Dave - somewhere nice or to pick on your mate with the escort.....

Does anybody know if there was one of the cars damaged/broken down, just I saw a 355 ( I think ) on the back of a transporter going to Kinarde park yesterday afternoon.

Still enjoyed the day - althought a ferrari that had a off by 10.30am wouldnt have been enjoying themselves as i saw it twice being towed to one of the knockhill garages at the back. No damage from what i could see - unless it was under the car....
Was told that the track goers were charged £250 (possible rumour) for the pleasure of it - so it makes my £8 to get in not seem too bad!!!!

I was there, stayed about an hour then left 'cos I was bored. I only went because I heard a rumour there might be a Ferrari F1 car there (announced over the speakers at the BTTC). There were some highly desirable cars in attendance, but it seemed to me that they were just short shifting through the gears. Probably scared they damage something in their fragile cars. The SIDC track days are much better in my opinion.
I booked up for a ride (4th Sept) in the formula hot laps car so the day wasn't a total loss.

Still enjoyed it and if it was those guys first times on track then i could see why they would be cautious!
Ferrari 355 up for sale 1994 model - no price - 27,000mls on the clock!!! not a daily runner then...
formula hot laps car looks mental - judging from G's each time the driver changed gears i would say the passengers had a really sore neck the next day!! It was like watching a nodding dog from churchill!!! ooohhhh yessssss!!!

rf. the purple TVR and the 355 are mates I believe, seen them at some of the HM nights parked next to each other and giving it large on the track that TVR is awesomme in a straight line but I think the 355 chatches him in the bends.

I thought they were mates - you know there can be a light hearted bit of banter on track.
The last time i was there (July) i got some fun footage of them chasing each other about the track, it was the best thing i had seen since the Nissan Pulsar who was taking every opportunity to drift round most of the bends.
Looked like fun.
