Thumbs down Not a white van but a bike!!!!

Well,

Sitting in traffic in Edinburgh, felt my car rocking from side to side and though "mmm, someone is shoving my car", looked in drivers door mirror to see a BMW bike with the pannier boxes trying to squeeze between my car and the traffic island - he was jammed between me and the light on the island!

Put my window down, looking to see if the panels were shoved in, as he continues to try to dislodge himself - I said "that'll be my car your scraping then?" folowed by "sorry mate, move your car forward" etc.

Pulled in at the side of the road and so did he - I though he would have bug*ered off.

Damage not too bad - scrape on bumper, door and round the wheel arch but 95% should T-Cut out.

As it has happened to me several times before I was quite calm and thanked the guy for stopping as most would disappear, looked at his bike - it was a bit scraped on the box.

It turns out he had only got the bike less than an hour before and was not sure of the size of it - he seemed a nice guy and we discussed it and agreed that it would T-Cut out. Off we went our seperate ways - I look after the car well but after its luck I am not overly precious about perfection in bodywork.

Anything else ie Insurance claim, bodyshop etc etc is REALLY not worth the hassle, even if it had been a new WR1.

Guess what I'll be doing tonight then!!!

Brian

Bad news mate - Let me know if it doesn't polish out. I have a relaible contact in Livi who has seen off a few scratches on my car.

Hope this wasn't a MODERATE biker enaging in retaliatory strikes on Blob eye's alter ego.

He was very MODERATE but did not seem to have any god-like tendencies though!!

Not sure - BMW bike and that - maybe he felt the power going to his head!!

Should this not be in 'bikers'?

Steve, I think it may have to be something fat and camp to get the road experience up.

SV650 or similar.

Talking hmmm

mondeo, turbo diesel, called stinkey as its turd brown in color! still, when the weathers ****, the good car stays in the garage
however when h20 (in its various guises) is out to play i have "big fun"

that way h20 does not get attacked by kamakazi motorcycles!!

cheers robin!

Thanks Robin

Good to know you are not attacked by bikes!!!!

Can you describe what you seen of it - were you behind me?!?

Why is it called H20 and what is the car?!?!

I runs a Nissan Primera Diesel (M Reg) for about 12,000 miles so I know where you are coming from but still do 20,000 miles odds in the Impreza a year.

Brian
