Spoke to grandpa Pete last night. He wasn't sure if the camping was a goer or not as there seemed to be little up-take at the suggestion.
How does a 9am start sound?

If we leave at <sigh> 8:30am we'll be there before 10. If you need brake stuff done before the weekend, give me a bell asap as i had my 2-pots/disks/pads/brake lines etc done today so have the old kit surplus to requirement

mainly want to get on track for a wee while to see how the lancer does.
trying to convince my dad to get a new lancer - we were in the cupar showroom but he was put off by the salesmens attitudes - so he just got a new renault shake ur *** grand scenic - but hopefully he'll take it back - hes no to happy with it - the shock horror was finding him perusing over subarus at town and county....
hopefully he'll come up too in his lancer and see the scoobs in action - mabye that'll convince him ...

90 mins Dundee to Alford is a tad optimistic IMHO. I know the road very well as I used to live out in Strathdon.
I would say leave Dundee 08:00
Anyway, where to meet up?

How about McD's in Monifieth (beside Dobbies), for an 8am kick-off?

SDB, Got all the rears replaced earlier in the week and did the front pads for softer ones, i am bedding this in just now to see how it feels, cheers i will be in touch if I need any spares
Pete mentioned going by Arbroath ages ago also, Is this not entirely the wrong direction
I would have thought up to Edzell and across Cairn O Mount would be a better route
Agree with Zeolite though - Used to work in Westhill and I think 90mins travel time would be cutting it a bit fine IMHO
Morning All

Quote "The day kicks off at about 10am, though there will be people on-site from about 8am (and even the night before) getting everything set-up.
We'd like all the cars to be on-site by about 10:30am if possible, otherwise there's a chance it will get too crowded to let people in and out easily, and cars arriving later may well have to park outside in the public car park, or wait for a suitable gap to get in. In this case, I would suggest leaving the park and ride no later than about 9:45am."
Hmm In re-reading JohnS's post perhaps 8.00 would be Ok - Extra 30mins kip Paul

SDB could you live with 8.30ish (read 8.45) @ forfar? That means leaving your hoose at 8.15 (8.30) approx ( with a pre warmed up car )
That would give about an hour and a half from there - should be about right - going in the right direction of course

You driving up with me n Nicky Daz? Michelin@8:02?
