Put the model number up and we will see what you have

You should of stated that in your listing now nobody is going to believe a word that is said now. Anyone that knows anything about these cars will know the likes of that including about a dozen other things that are incorrect unfortunately.
With these cars becoming collectable they need to be in original condition. GLWS

I'm genuinely interested to what you think is wrong with it?
OK
Well your colour code is 230 which is feather white.
Spoiler is wrong.
Bumper lip is wrong.
Seats are wrong
Wheels are wrong.
Brakes are.wrong
Wrong decals.
Carpets are wrong.
Missing grille badge.
No boot decal.
No strut brace.
Suspect the bonnet is steel instead of aluminium.
It also has a reasonably colourful MOT history.
From previous experiences we know there are some errors on Subaru VIN plate colour codes, especially for early models taken off the production line for STI special editions / rally cars. https://www.scoobynet.com/scoobynet-...confusing.html
According to the VIN plate shown above, the paint code is 230 which for Japan is called "Pure White"
According to the parts database, the paint code for this VIN is 518 - google translates to "Cheesy Yellow" but is listed as Bright Yellow. (Chase Yellow is code 033)
I was also under the impression that MY97 was a V3 ??

As far as I'm aware there wasn't a JDM yellow V3 of any description apart from the type r. I have personally owned three type r's with the 230 colour code and they were all feather white. There's a possibility that the saloons are different that I'm not sure about.
Just checked @Don Clark and there appears to only three models which were chase yellow or yellow of any description and they are
MY00 WRX STi Version VI WRX Sports Wagon STi Version VI
And of course WRX Type R STi version.
Plus 230 is feather white (only in Europe) Pure White in Japan.
797 is chase yellow
797 is....
and what have you "just checked" ?
All I'm saying is that for main stream production they used 3 colours 230 White; 47A Black and 406 Light Silver.
There were also a number (25 and counting) produced in 53C 555 Blue / Rally blue.
Lecgacypic.co.uk's VIN/Applied model Decoder on its GC8D4ED page gives a very unbiased note:
"2 additional cars found that were either not part of mainstream production, or there is insufficient information currently available to correctly identify them. This may include prototype, pre-production, or special-order fleet cars. The Subarus listed below may not have been available for the public to buy but are included in an attempt to provide accurate records."
One being the 53C 555 Blue/Rally blue
and the other, this one in 518 Bright Yellow.
Who knows, it could be a one off STI special that retained it's original pre-stamped VIN plate.
Just like API David's car for which he was hounded horrendously.

As you well know they can be troublesome to identify. I have a V6 JDM STI which is 797 chase yellow cause I have had paint mixed for it. The main stumbling block with this thread is there is no JDM four door in yellow until the MY00 and it isn't that colour. There was 296 made 797
