Any news . . . . . .

Scooby Dooby Blue 14 June 2004 07:21 PM

Sleeping bags and midgie bites arn't my bag so i'll be driving up Sunday morning.

Y'all up for the scenic route?

Fancy leaving early doors for a slot on track.

Nicky's coming too.
Spoke to grandpa Pete last night. He wasn't sure if the camping was a goer or not as there seemed to be little up-take at the suggestion.

How does a 9am start sound?

Paul

scoobylav 15 June 2004 02:02 PM

How long will it take to get up there ?

Big Daz 15 June 2004 02:17 PM

If you want on the track & parked in the actual ground I think the leaving time will have to be considerably earlier
Ian yhm :)

Ciaran 15 June 2004 02:40 PM

1.Ciaran

scoobylav 15 June 2004 02:42 PM

I think if a list is to be started we need to do it like this

1. Ciaran - Sat
2. Scoobylav - Sun

PG 15 June 2004 05:36 PM

Settle Daz, there's drinking to be done Saturday night! :D
If we leave at <sigh> 8:30am we'll be there before 10. If you need brake stuff done before the weekend, give me a bell asap as i had my 2-pots/disks/pads/brake lines etc done today so have the old kit surplus to requirement

i'm easy whenever, i'll go with the majority dundee ricer vote but camping sounds fun.

mainly want to get on track for a wee while to see how the lancer does.

trying to convince my dad to get a new lancer - we were in the cupar showroom but he was put off by the salesmens attitudes - so he just got a new renault shake ur ass grand scenic - but hopefully he'll take it back - hes no to happy with it - the shock horror was finding him perusing over subarus at town and county.... :o
hopefully he'll come up too in his lancer and see the scoobs in action - mabye that'll convince him ... ;)

90 mins Dundee to Alford is a tad optimistic IMHO. I know the road very well as I used to live out in Strathdon.
I would say leave Dundee 08:00
Anyway, where to meet up?

If we're agreed to take the coastal route, we'll be heading towards Arbroath in the first instance.
How about McD's in Monifieth (beside Dobbies), for an 8am kick-off?

Paul

Big Daz 16 June 2004 08:47 AM

SDB, Got all the rears replaced earlier in the week and did the front pads for softer ones, i am bedding this in just now to see how it feels, cheers i will be in touch if I need any spares :D
Pete mentioned going by Arbroath ages ago also, Is this not entirely the wrong direction :D
I would have thought up to Edzell and across Cairn O Mount would be a better route ;)
Agree with Zeolite though - Used to work in Westhill and I think 90mins travel time would be cutting it a bit fine IMHO
Morning All
Daz

scoobylav 16 June 2004 09:25 AM

Morning,

Big Daz, Thanks again for the assistance ;)
Did John S not say that we should be there before 9.30am ????
How about 7.30 am meet at Forfar McD's

Just a suggestion ;)

Big Daz 16 June 2004 10:09 AM

Quote "The day kicks off at about 10am, though there will be people on-site from about 8am (and even the night before) getting everything set-up.

We'd like all the cars to be on-site by about 10:30am if possible, otherwise there's a chance it will get too crowded to let people in and out easily, and cars arriving later may well have to park outside in the public car park, or wait for a suitable gap to get in. In this case, I would suggest leaving the park and ride no later than about 9:45am."

Hmm In re-reading JohnS's post perhaps 8.00 would be Ok - Extra 30mins kip Paul :D

scoobylav 16 June 2004 10:30 AM

8am at McD's Forfar then ?

Zeolite 16 June 2004 10:37 AM

That makes more sense to me guys. :D

Scooby Dooby Blue 16 June 2004 10:40 AM

Reckon i'll be meeting you guys up there

Forfar @ 8 is just waaaaay to early for me

scoobylav 16 June 2004 10:50 AM

OK so lets begin - I like lists ;)

8AM at McD's in Forfar

1. Scoobylav
2. Big Daz
3. Zeolite

Big Daz 16 June 2004 10:53 AM

SDB could you live with 8.30ish (read 8.45) @ forfar? That means leaving your hoose at 8.15 (8.30) approx ( with a pre warmed up car ) :D
That would give about an hour and a half from there - should be about right :) - going in the right direction of course ;)

Zeolite 16 June 2004 11:19 AM

Split the difference. 08:15 at McDogs?

Ciaran 16 June 2004 11:52 AM

Scooby Dooby Blue 16 June 2004 08:05 PM
