Tyres and Tracking
Got a shock tonight whilst washing car ,front o/s tyre knackered round outside edge ,tracking obviously out (might explain tendancy for over steer in the wet without tryin a jot)
Q 1. Best place for tyres around Livi ,205/45/17s i DPH (?) Bathgate a couple of years ago for a very good price..are they still there? What other tyres are recommended for under a £100
Q 2. Did i read/ hear Calders are now doing wheel alignment? Been to the guy at Sighthill before but Calders are closer.
apart from that i geed it damn good thrashing on the way to Forth tonight 1st time in 2 months of ownership ....bit of a flatspot after changing up to 5th at about 4.5k but apart from that A ok............scuse the ramblin pish I've downed a few Millers

There is a really good mibile fitting company I have used tons of time in Livingston no charge for fitting at home and the prices are usually excellent too, fully fitted.
They are Clifford Mibile Tyres and they also have the Grage Cliffords bodyshop too - can't find their number but in yellow pages/Thomson etc.
Try them - VERY helpful family run business. Don't knacker your wheels either.
Brian.

www.mytyres.co.uk seem pretty cheap.
You'll need to get some one local to fit them.
As for tracking, what settings are you running at present?

tracking?
hi colin,
sounds a bit strange! the guy at sighthill is good but i am told a bit dear!
i would take it back to falkland if i were you and get it reset
as they did a good job on the blue car and my white ra, the only thing that is different is the brakes have been taken off, perhaps it has been bumped off a kerb? anyway, i would go for goodyear eagles if i was you! great tires, or toyo proxies
cheers robin.

I wouldn't bother with Clifford in Livingston to be honest. I've used them twice to cure some wheel balancing and both times they failed. Chap at Sighthill sorted it.
Best getting the tyres mail order, then using the bloke at Sighthill to fit and balance them and get and geo done at the same time.
I'm sure he could do the BumpSteer mod if he had all the necessary details.

diver? bsac or padi?...................anyway, yes probably pete knocked it off when he was stripping her i think its £40 to get it done and it will make a great improvment if its off, and they do them all the time, also nothing is sized on her as she was done last year!
best of luck m8,
cheers robin.
