Thumbs up Automotive Services Dunfermline - HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

Massive praise for these guys. No connection with them, just a happy customer.

Job Gevers the owner is a big Scooby fan, but also has excellent experience as a suspension engineer and with Porsche, Ford and Audi motorsport.

He has invested a lot in very good diagnostics equipment for all Japanese cars, and has a very trick geometry setup.

Excellent work on removing my engine and renewing the headgaskets without the issues you so often get added along the way whenever something major gets done.

Superb work in fitting and setting up the P1 suspension which has brought the handling up to the engine's performance.

They do not advertise as Subaru specialists but are very skilled with them.

Billing is fair and honest, nice to deal wtih real enthusiasts.

They are on 01383 738077

ECU probably isn't seeing it though, he could diagnose faults from factory spec and I am sure have a crack at other stuff, but sounds more like a mapping/setup issue on your car?

John,

Is that down beside the the motorbike showroom. I thought it was your car there, but I thought you did all the work yourself.

You're right, he always has scoobies parked out there getting work done on them, as well as a range of other exotica, ranging from Elises, Exiges, beemers, S3's etc!

bluenose, T-uk and I usually do most of it (well I get in the way and pass the wrong spanners), but we are both pretty busy presently and needed a break.

LOL, I like Job's style - smoking a *** whilst hoovering over my engine looking for a fault That minor 'eyebrow raiser' aside very friendly to deal with and I'll probably book my car in soon so he can have a more indepth look at this flat spot engine fault. He seemed the sort of guy that took pride in his work which IMHO is the most important trait you want in someone dealing with your pride and joy.

John,

Do you know if they can remove Bumpsteer on Impreza's or do we have to go to Glenrothes for this in Scotland?

Yes Stefan.

Bumpsteer is a change in the suspension geometry during cornering.

Cool, although I was just being sarcy as usual. I'll post on here if they can do it and save me a trip to Glenrothes.

Kenny,

This covers the basics for suspension alignment and movement charactaristics.

AFAIL, bumpsteer is dialled out by adjusting the steering rack using some shims.

Default MORE PRAISE.............

Alright lads,

Myself, like the mad Doctor takes his scooby to Job.

Must be one of the most genuine and honest mechanics i know. He has worked on both my scoobys, and im sure he had a look at my old RX7 too.

His new toy, is great for setting your car up the way you want it.

He knows his stuff, and not just with scoobys.

Highly Recommended!!
