Hi there,
Has your bro still got his cupra R?
If so, i have a friend selling a Revo chipped ECU for the cupras to take the power up to 215bhp and boost to 18psi and was wondering if he would be interested? It's cheapish at £700

Yeah these german things need all the help they can get!
So did you get those new tyres fitted at KH the other week? Was it a reasonable price? I may try the same thing as you by bringing my replacement tyres with me next time.

Wuz,
Just had a thought, if you are a dealer for Revo then you'll no doubt be able to supply for a 225 S3? A friend had been to Star to see about this and is very keen on it. He was just waiting on a slightly newer switchable version that they had coming in that was also updatable via cable? I'm not so sure what that meant but that's what they told him.
Anyway he'd no doubt be interested if there's someone local doing this sort of thing.
Foz,
That's incredible that they're still up for more punishment! They were literally melting away when you came off track!!! At least you're getting decent mileage out of them lol!!!

Foz,
That'll be it. They suggested he waited a wee while till the new device came out.
Any idea what the difference is?
What are the 'Revo' issues? Nothing too major i hope.

Revo are getting sued by APR as they "allegedly" nicked the flash mapping idea and managed to get it onto the market early, theres plenty on the vag boards about this...
its nothing new as ecutek ahd been doing it for years to scoobs but revo seemed to, with the help of some slick marketing convince everyone they had reinvented chip tuning..
As for forge/revo there is no connection at an R&D level, Forge are just an outlet selling the revo software like any other outlet! they do some nice turned ally though
I personally dont like chip tuning but thats another story

Hmmm.....not so good then!
I'll keep an eye on what's happening on that one.
The chips are a good way to get simple plug and play power. I suppose it's just down to what type of tuning you're into. If you're somone who will just go for easy bhp the tried and tested method then a chip is an obvious choice. If you're more into understanding how the power is gained and will test theory's then there are other better ways to gian power.
