Scoobs at RallyX Knockhill
#1
Good turnout of cars at Knockhill today. Was anyone else a bit dissapointed at the cars that were competing? I went along thinking that there would be some really serious bits of kit there. Not taking anything away from the Novas, Pugs and Fiestas but I thought there would be a bigger turnout of "big hairy @rsed rallycross motors". More 6r4's and quattros I thought. Never the less it was a good day.
A lot of nice Imprezas in the car parks.
this thing was quick
Absolutely Gorgeous
Good day and the weather stayed kind.

Thought that some of the cars I got pics of must be on here.
Nice motors guys.
Pyrocam99 I gave you a flash yesterday on the Edinburgh bypass, sometime in the afternoon. Travelling back from IKEA. Joy!! Thankfully the wife didn't bankrupt us.
Bee, think I've spotted ur car in Perth before. Real nice
Mine's the white wagon in the first pic.
Cheers

Ahhhh, I was on my way back from the SIDC Day at knockhill. Must have been daydreaming, just caught you out the corner of my eye, reactions not quick enough to give you a wave. Nice motor by the way.
Had a little look at it when I was up today, parked in the carpark at the hairpin.

Having spent the day observing opposite the paintball fort, I now know what it's like to be in the Foreign Legion. Good day though, what I could see of through the dust
The red car with Morrettes and PIAAs looks a lot like my old one (only cleaner) - didn't have an S55 xxx number did it?

Sparkster,
Mines is Reddish Blue, but i rekon i was the only tube in a scooby to get stuck so it probably was me you were pushing.
Thanks for the shove.
Re. the RS200. We were talking to one of the mechanics on saturday about the car, and he rekoned it was pushing 806bhp.
But most people i spoke to seemed to think it was 750. Maybe the mechanic was just winding us up...
Oh...and i've just spent my first few hours at work with everyone laughing at my Ribeana coloured face ! The joys...

The RS200 was in Car and Car Conversions (I think, might have been performance ford??) the other week. 720+ BHP, but the owner was saying the cars not going to be used in Rallycross for much longer as the Carbon fiber in the body shell is starting to de-laminate.
He says he might take it to Pikes Peak though.
0-60 in 2.5 secs or so!!!

I'll never look at a Micra in the same light ever again.
That car was absolutely stunning yesterday and didn't disgrace itself on the last final either running against the "big boys". Well sorted.
One of the Novas (blue in colour)gave a raised eyebrow as well every time it's heat finished. Really weird seeing a car with it's rear wheels in the air under braking... Bikes , yes. But a car!!??. Brill!!

the super cars are the ones to watch, pity the finals are not longer which would give more time for a race to develop.all the supercars have 700 + bhp, car 14 (the yellow/white wrc escort) is tuned for about 750 +bhp.if you seen it in the straight it was catching the other super cars at a good rate ,if the straight was about an other 200 yards long he would have passed the front runners.pity the scooby was not running right all day

Sparkster, the mini scoop was made by Gary McMullan who as all in Scotland know was tragically taken from us in February.
I'm sure that Grant at AWD or Andy at Dicksons Performance Centre still have a few left that Gary made for them.
Cheers
