Reckoned to be the fastest ever speeder recorded by the UK police, but I don't think so. I recall a biker being caught at 169 mph on the A9 some years ago.

If he was caught by a camera then he was going too slow. Should have been doing 174mph(as tested by top gear - i think it was this speed) and he might have got away with it
