Just kissed my turbos good bye!
Going along the A90, overtaking..... funny noise.... no power!
At first i thought it was a hose!... but couldnt see anything, gave the throttle a blip under the bonnet, no turbo whine and smoke out the exhaust
Any other suggestions, hints?
Bugger!

just looked at HKS twins... 5.5K for a kit .... feckin ell
New my car was too good to be true the 4days it lasted
boost up to 18psi, all cats out, SuperDrager, fatter rears, new plugs, speed de-limited and boostcut removed - - - All ends in shagged turbos

u can get it repaired from mv turbos in fife i think check sam elasar i emailed him the phone number and by the way he says he can convert it to hybrid 19g for 600 something

Aright adam, what are you like, were trying to race the Aberdeen -London BA flight or something??? So is the car completely shafted or can you drive it???

So how did it go while it lasted ??
Apparently you can get your import turbo's upgraded to UK spec for a couple of hundred each, this helps them handle the increased boost. Plenty info on the Supra forum.

Andy - the UK turbos are bigger and completly diff fit.... But i could get jap hybrids (with steel, not ceramic ).... im still waiting for a proper diagnosis of the prob
How was it going - bloody quick (ask boyner.... ) It was like a complety diff car, but didnt last very long
If the fins have gone, i think it may have been that missing electrode off the plug

na, wastegate was still std
BUT it has been confirmed as deeeed turbo something or other
good excuse for the following :
Apexi FrontMounted Intercooler
Apexi S-AFC (fuel computer)
Apexi AVC-R (boost controler)
Twin Hybrids
550 or larger cc injectors
and maybe a set of cams
all on top of the current spec....
just have to sort out where now!

Are the turbot's repairable or are they fuct?
i dread to think the cost of all that new ****, fitting etc, so will the corsa be taking a return into obscurity then??
