You've done 60k km plus a further 44k miles, so total is 37282 + 44000 = 81282

How hard is it to look on google for a conversion rate?

60k = 37284 miles
37284 + 44000 = 81284 miles.

Now slap yourself for being so lazy/stupid!

I bought an evo a few years back that had the clocks wound back to show only miles when it was first imported.

Same with old STI. I guess if anyone tampers with the clocks, even if they have the best intentions. The questions will always remain when it comes to selling it on.

That is why so many imports just start reading in mph from the kph reading upon being imported.

So up to 60,000 on the odo was counting in km? And after that the odo is counting in miles?

If so, then - obviously - the first 60,000 on the odo was in km = 37,280m. (Divide by a factor of c.1.6095 to convert from km to m).

Then, from 60,000 to 104,000 on the odo is in miles - i.e. after the conversion - so that's 104,000 minus 60,000 leaves you with the miles added from that point = 44,000m

So total = 37,280 + 44,000 = 81,280 miles.

...As per the 3 answers above. (Just thought I'd attempt to show the 'reasoning' to help the OP understand better).

Or the rest of you should slap yourselves for helping out his lazyness!

Stupidity of course can be excused, some people are born like that and need care in the community.
