Default Type R v6 Limited.

Just wondering how much power you can run on the 5 speed gearbox?

Clutch is upgraded and engine is in closed deck.

Thanks

Firstly, how do you know it's a CDB?

I broke a 752 five speed at 340bhp. Then fitted a 754 five speed and ran it at little over 400bhp. It did a few quarter mile runs with me and has now seen track time a few times and quite a few more drag runs with the new owner. Last I heard it was still nice and tight.
They are certainly not 'fit and forget' at that level though. A certain degree of mechanical sympathy and regular servicing with good oil is essential in my opinion.
Same applies for diff, I broke one at under 400.

The CDB thing is meaningless, unless your making huge power then theres no real benifit over the original open deck your car would of had from factory.

Ive been running 351/330 on a TY754VB1EA for sometime now including launches and track days and its still fine. Anything much more than that and I'm sure it will be toast

I know someone who run 470bhp through a ty754 with no issue. All depends how lucky you are.
