Default Which oil?

I'm looking for advice on which oil to put in. Firstly I've done 500 miles on Millers running in oil (changed at 250). Then once I reach 1000 miles.

I've read a semi synth is a good idea for now, but then fully synth at 1k?

definitely no better than semi synth for now IMO, and to be honest a cheap mineral would be fine dependant on how exactly your running it in.......

Should I stick with running in oil then?. I'm running in by not using boost and keeping under 3k or so. With the odd, long distance drive varying revs on the motorway etc.

Once run in Alyn what do you recommend?

From what I've heard that isn't a good way of running in. Use boost but don't high rev it but I would go more than 3k.boost beds the rings in.

I just did a refresh with running in oil and run for another 500

light boost and slightly more revs would be fine (but take advice from whoever supplied it)

would be using a cheap mineral oil now rather than running-in oil

Yeah doing long miles on motorway is not running in, boost with low revs and hills and different engine loads is the way, thats how mine will be done anyway

Put any old semi 10/40 in now, and drive it with varied loads and boost, dont thrash it but allow it to work. Your only really bedding the rings in and conditioning the bores. They need to get hot and put under some load. Do this for another 500 miles. Then your done, change to a good brand 10/40 fully syn or 10/60 if its getting track/competion use.
I'm sure Alyn will have some good oil options for you.
