Are you after a classic shape or a bug/blob?? Wagon or saloon? Modded or near standard?
You need to give us a bit more to go on I think.
£4K will see you in a nice late classic or a 2003/2004 WRX with a few mods?

Thanks for the replies sorry guys it was a bit thin on the info front, but i do like the classic saloon preferred, if theirs one out there that has been slightly modded so that i can add to it as i go along but if the perfect one comes along i would jump at it i think i would get more for my money with a classic shape but i could be wrong i am guided by yourselves.

That's what pissed me off with some owners. The slightest bit of trouble and they let it go for peanuts. He coukd have got £2k all day long if it is in the condition you state. Although I'd be worried if he had kept on top servicing, consumables etc.
