You need an unequal exhaust manifold if your searching for the famous impreza noise.
Ebay is your best bet....

Best all round exhaust? Surely it has an exhaust already??

Best advise if you are considering modding a non-turbo Impreza - STOP!
It just isn't worth the time or money.

Sorry, but that's the truth.

Hey, I'm all for that. I had a blue, mk2 astra estate non-turbo diesel when I was 17.
I fitted racing mats and some sparco pedals.

The things we do in our youth!

He might not want to ( mod it ) in the same sense that the wrx / sti guys do. Might just want a bit more noise.

Me too, but all you get from STI owners is "Performance."

I used to have a 150bhp RS2000 4x4, everyone thought it was pointless, especially in modding it.

I had it bored out to a 2.1, fitted a K&N induction, cat back magnex, FSE PBV and superchip. Clocked 165bhp and it'd dare I say it - keep up with UK Scoobs back in the day. Cams and decat could have seen power pushing 180 with zero lag! It died at 150mph before I could find out.

Sometimes styling and sound can be just as desirable these days with all the speed bumps, cameras and traffic.

Hard for it to burble because it has an equal length manifold, only the UK turbocharged cars had the unequal length manifolds (JDM's from 2003 onwards had equal) which is why you get the burble

True,I think the whole system on mine cost the previous owner £480,brand new.
Probably source a decent used system for half that though

First post :-)

I got a impreza 2.0 2006 n/a hawkeye insurance was not nice on wrx or sti .

I want that subaru sound too but cant find any help on getting the UEL manifold for non turbo 2006 models. Will the 2005 non turbo UEL manifold fit on my hawkeye?

Any help is appreciated.
