How deep are your pockets???? Thats what it come's down too!!

Had a friend who was running 500bhp in a UK turbo 2000 and have heard people with more, but your talking £15k+ Forged engine, 6 speed newage gearbox, Big turbo, injectors etc etc, but then you need to stop the thing so £1000 for a set of big brakes, and then you want it to handle, so another £2,000 on suspension mods, never ending and costs loads!!!!

But the answer to your question is anything is possible!!!

A upgarded gearbox in a Turbo 2000 your options are 6 speed newage(£2000) PPG 5 speed (£1500) or a classic STi (600) based on 2nd hand prices, and brakes your looking a AP 6 pots (£1,200) Brembos newage (£600) either way brakes and gearbox is going to cost near what the car is worth!!

So really think is 400bhp really what you want??? because 300bhp in a classic is just as much fun, and without the big costs!!! End of the day do you really want 400bhp or is it a number you just like the sound of!!!

Newage top mount, td0516G, full decat exhaust, fuel pump, plugs, 3 port boost solenoid, panel filter and a remap.

320bhp for under 2 grand. No need to mess around with the engine or box.

Useable and reliable 400bhp costs big money in a classic. But, if you've got 10 large to blow then go for it because 400 in a classic is a bloody hoot.

Cut the bend off and weld a small length of straight pipe on.
Any metal workshop should be able to do it.

After my 2.5 went belly up stuck a cheap standard wrx lump in to keep me going. Still not got my old engine sorted but 10 months later and running 300/300 the temporary engine is running sweet as.

As long as your clutch isn't past its best then it should be fine, injectors will be 440's if its a later car so they are fine too.
