WRC 22B ????
Its just a 22B. Lovely car with very nice miles, a little overpriced but its rare so someone may stump up the cash. If it was mine id try it at that price.
Its nice that the original wheels etc come with it.

No it's an import. And I concur, it's overpriced I wouldn't pay that.
As far as my knowledge goes, 16 cars were officially imported to these shores.
I'm really not sure if that would factor into my decision to buy one, to me a 22B is a 22B and it doesn't make it any difference if it was imported officially by a group who just decided to one day call themselves "Subaru UK" or via a specialist.

What i was saying is if a uk car then maybe it was worth a few shillings more, but an import well make your own minds by this i mean you pay for exclusiveness.

But is it overpriced ???
Its one of the most iconic rally cars of all time and without doubt the most desirable road going impreza available. This one looks in stunning condition and has wonderful miles.
Find another one....
I'll own a 22B one day, if I had the money to buy one right now then id be throwing the owner a 30 grand bid and would even pay a bit more if needed.

Lovely car, definitely an appreciating classic car if ever there was one.
I am not sure if it's worth the full asking price but you can't argue with the pictures it does look in outstanding condition.
At the total opposite end of the 22B world I regularly see a 22B parked half on and off the pavment of a town in Mid Wales, the wheels are scraped to buggery, it looks unwashed and unloved.
I have even stopped to have a look at it and I have to say I don't think the owner appreciates what he has, I would say the only love and attention it might get is a visit to a jet wash as the paintwork is swirled to hell and back.
I am not sure if it's a UK or JDM 22B but it's a crying shame to see it not being treated with the respect it deserves.

Sorry guys, but its worth every penny of that.
Make no mistake, whether you like it or not, these are heading the same direction as the SWB Audi Quattros and more recently the Sierra RS 500s.
They've never really dropped below about 22k, which is very much in line with the RS 500 when you take inflation into account.
If I had 35k to invest and a place to store it, I'd have bought that myself.

Have you driven one ??
Make no mistake, a mint 22B with 25K on the clock is very rare and will only increase in value. Like you say, subaru offered other variants with much lower build numbers but none quite as desirable as the 22B.
Overrated or not, its an iconic car that real impreza enthusiasts like myself dream of owning.
It wouldn't surprise me in the slightest if it sold fairly quickly for very near the asking price. As I said earlier, if you want a mint, original uber low mile example then you don't have much choice. Unlike every other impreza, with a 22B its a sellers market not a buyers.

I do agree it's an icon and probably the best looking impreza. But if you think it was somehow better then a "standart" Sti Type Ra or Evo 5 Rs , NSX Type R or same caliber cars ... Think again.... I have a huge collection of best motoring videos through the years and saw couple tests with them.... Nothing extra ordinary as you might imagine... It's a collectors car , nothing more then that...
You can find loads of real comparison vids not Top Gear like on you tube these days . Only shame is this is not translated
