Thinking of viewing this Impreza your thoughts?
Hello guys, thanks for viewing my first thread on here and taking the time for thoughts on this model.
Well I am in the market for a classic Impreza after years of wanting one, this one has come up on AT and PH and has caught my eye as it appears a very straight car.
My budget is £3000 and I am only after a classic rather than the newer shape Impreza but over to you guys? Thanks for helping,
Max.

Seems a nice car, the rear spoiler looks a little darker in some photos and there are two little bit of trims missing above the skirts but can't see any issues. Engine wouldnt take too much time/money to clean up. What are your plans? For use as a daily driver? Are you looking to keep it fairly stock? Would be a nice classic to keep and look after, wouldn't be ideal if your looking to chase big power, advert has good parts but lacking a little more detail but well worth a viewing.

Hello Max, and welcome to www.starwarscantinaattimes.com.
I'm assuming that BV's suggesting that it's a bit pricey on the face of it and if he is I agree.
However, it seems to be a well looked after car, the ad doesn't have any glaring inconsistencies (valid reason for sale, backed by possibility of swap for a more family-friendly but still sporty car) and I get the feeling that the seller has taken pride in it.
It's had the odd spruce-up - Samco(?) hoses etc. but it is extremely low mileage.
I've owned one (95 N) and they are nimble enough standard.
If I was in the market for one I'd certainly go and have a look, although perhaps not commit that far unless I had some sort of sounding from the seller that they'd come down a touch. Perhaps ask if there's receipts for all cambelt and fluid changes, perhaps some minor lack of documentation or MoT advisories that would not make it the top of the range price that it is.
There's only 3 months Tax left for instance (will he knock the equivalent of 6 months tax off for example?).
It's got a year's MoT so no concerns about those type of issues.
No doubt some that are more expert than me will put a figure on it.
Good luck hunting !

And it reinforces what I've said, that you'll get plenty of support and good advice on here.
Go for it, but at a couple of hundred quid less than advertised price.
