Default scooby turbo

having recently bought an ra(must have had my eyes closed with a few extras been into dave coe for cam seals timing belt oil change etc have been told my car needs a new turbo so i am looking for a gt30 if anybody has one for sale as i was told it had a gt34 but now told its not i think car drives fine but turbo dont come in til about 3500 rpm it has a link ecu so assume its been mapped at some point anybody in the neath area that could give me SECOND OPINION would be greatly appriciated before i spend anymore and get thrown out by mrs

On top of Matty's post, do you have a link to the ad, since it's a recent buy?

That could be used to get a lot of info.

Can I suggest you take it to someone who knows what the f**k they are on about, he's not very popular with quite a few in the Wales section.

You may want to have a search in the Wales section for a better option locally. Indigo GT in Merthyr, Three Arches in Cardiff or Ace Motorsport in Newbridge.

A GT34 does exixt but not a satisfied Dave Coe customer in the Wales section.

I've got a 95 import and my turbo comes in around 3-3500 and pulls like a train. As above mate second opinion is needed.

hi its an sti engine its got a link ecu
buddy club exhaust
garret gt34 turbo
forge actuator
mapped by inomotion1.3 mm steel head gaskets
paddle clutch
walboro fel pump
tarrox big brake kit
solid boost pipes
seems quick but i aint driver a subaru for over 5 years when i sold my turbo 2000 to a mate was told its not boosting but it seems to pull really hard once you pass 3500rpm and actuator chirps when you lift off ????
any help gratefully appreciated

no link but got a print out of old add so i know what it is supposed to have fitted
turbo i beleive was a hybrid spec sheet says its a garret gt34 roller bearing turbo rated 400 bhp

i dont know mate thats why im asking all i do know is its a garret and it has somthing called a twisted turbo setup

yeah sounds like mine but i know its been mapped but you can feel it pulling so i was thinking with the turbo change possible lag as it has an anti lag kit as well they may have up the range of where the turbo comes in
