Car storage advice
Hey folks,
Just after some advice. I'm off to Cyprus for 3 months very soon and will putting the scoob into storage. The car will be in a garage, no heating. What's the best way to store it I.e any covers, gear selected or not, battery advice etc etc?
Thanks.

As long as it's been serviced fairly recently from a coolant point of view and old oil not sitting, just park it up, chocks under the wheels, handbrake off and enjoy Cyprus.
From a security point of view take precautions as you see fit but I would disconnect the battery and remove the crank sensor. You don't want the alarm going off when the battery drains !

I use some moisture traps in mine, cost about 80p for something each, I have them inside on the back seat, front footwell just helps prevent mold. I usually give mine a good clean and fresh wax, car covers can be good but some can cause issues, decent ones breath but in a garage it shouldn't be needed, have you seen any mice? Maybe put some poison and traps down just in case they want to move in? what else is in the garage? I had a mate who parked his mint cossie in the garage and a shelve gave way and all the tins of paint hit the bonnet. A post and front wings.

As said, i'd disconnect battery, over inflate tyres and definitely put some desiccant packs or some dehumidifier. You don't want to come back to see mushrooms on your seats.
What are your thoughts on petrol chaps? Full tank?
