Default Good deal on tyres?

Hello all,

Been offered some r888's - 225/40/18 x4

They have 3/3.5mil tread all round and are £250.

Is this a good deal?

The car is not a daily driver and will be used for treating myself only

However, what is the wear like on these, I am concerned they are close to the limit and I wont get much use out of them?!

Thoughts guys please? Anyone with any experience with these?...

Thanks, Rob

My R888's come with 8mm of tread when new and had them fitted 2-3 yrs ago and today on the MOT still got 3mm of tread left although car only covers 1200 miles a year so put that into comparison they don't last long at all but they are a fantastic tyre for grip but a no no in the wet. Also I can tell you the road noise is unbearable go for the new toyo R1R's just as good as the 888's with out the road noise

Let the chance of 4 nearly new Yoko AD08's slip away and massively regret it.

These are a good deal and a good put me on for the next couple of summer months. Then winter wheel and tyre combo me recons. (or a car cover!)
