That's about a £13 fill up? Maybe £15?

Hello, and welcome from another Mike, also in Dubai. Sadly my Subarus are still in the UK. Don't see many out here, just the common Ferrari and Lambo tearing along Sheik Zhaid!

Yeah it used to cost me £18 to fill up 60 litres in my Lumina SS or Vauxhall Monaro 5.7 V8 ... lol .. Insurnace works on insuring the car not the person ..... so what ever the value of your car is you pay basiclly 4% ..... e.g. car is £10,000 , you pay £400 insurance .... :-)

Qwertyco - where are you based in Dubai .... Shaikh Zayed Road is a nightmare :-)

As my car is standard with Prodrive kit (assume that is Exhuast , few pipes in the engine and fuel pump upgraded , ECU tweak ?? ) , what would be my next step for a little more power .... Also lookin gto lower it a bit ... i dont want it on the group as there are too many speed bumps and in some cases bumping roads... looking to put some 18 x 8.5/9j on there ...

So hit me up with you wisdom ....

Hi, a remap would give a little more power, but I wouldn't bother unless your going to change the turbo as well, I have a WRX PPP and before that I had a remapped WRX and in reality theres bugger all in it to justify the cost of mapping, the other main reason not to do it, for me at least is the prodrive map is very safe but the problem with a custom map is unless you get a VERY experienced subaru mapper then you may well find it being run lean, add to that the extra high temps where you are and it's a recipe for melted number 3 piston for the sake of maybe 20bhp.

I'd look at cooling if I were you, as in an oil cooler, be a much better way of spending £3/400 and a set of gauges to keep an eye on things.

Yeah some gauges would be good .. a nice pod in the middle or A pillar. Boost and Oil temp/pressure .
Im not looking at the moment to get turbo and other parts upgraded. More cosmetic to make it look good and then move on from there.

I saw a very nice JDM Hawk there just off the Jumeirah baech road (Umm Suqeim 3 area

I'd stick with some Prodrive Springs ( 15-20mm front and 22-26 rear) check your springs if black Standard if pink they've already been done IIRC

Probably if don't require for "MOT" Decat Cold air induction Kit and You'l need someone to remap it.
