Default Pollen filter for blob eye for Sti?

Been looking at replacement pollen filter and was wondering if the norm is.to buy a blueprint part for about £8? Do aftermarket ones compare with dealer ones? The dealer ones are over £50 l, what do these have that is so special compared with aftermarket?

Regards.

They have the word 'Subaru' stamped on them! The blueprint replacement is perfectly fine, I'm using one.
I recently bought an oil filter from a Mazda dealer for the wifes 3 MPS - a £7 filter for £14.50 just because it had 'Mazda' printed on it! Rip off!

Got my last one from Puravent, they seem reputable and have a huge range of air filtration products.

One thing I wasn't sure when fitting is that there are arrows on the filter saying 'fit in direction of airflow'... which way is the air flowing through the pollen filter? There is a big fan underneath but I'm not sure whether that's sucking air down from above the filter or blowing air up from below?

The arrows should be towards the fan. This is the air flow into the vehicle, thus filters out the debris from entering the fan & cabin.
