Default JDM Hawkeye STI - How much ?

Toying with the idea of getting another Scoob (had a classic for 10 years, but sold it 2 years ago - got the itch back),
So looking for maybe a JDM Hawkeye with 300+bhp (I assume this has the better engine than the UK model still)?
So questions:
How much would I expect to pay for a 40k miles or less example (good one)?
Whats the road tax on these?

Anyone had any dealings with Hurst cars or JPerformance (they both seem to have loads of adds on Pistonheads - most say sold/under offer - not sure what that's all about??)

Am wrong side of 40 so insurance aint a huge worry

Thanks

£12-14k for a good one, low mileage and sensibly tuned.

Good luck finding one though.... They are like rocking horse **** and desirable.

Yeah - saw that one - but too expensive for me though, was thinking 13k tops really.

There is also a type 25 on PH for 15K, and a forged 440Bhp hawk for just under 13k

second one looks nice - but maybe a bit hardcore for daily use !

Andy - thanks, good to get +tive feedback on dealers, cant be too careful with this type of motor ! (although I do know a fair bit about them), Hurst are not that far from me so I may pay them a visit.

If the Type 25 is this one;

That isn't a genuine Type 25. See this thread.

I know of a one owner MY05 Type 25 that could be for sale. Low mileage, leather, defis etc.

PM if you're interested.

The JDM car will be 2 litre, not 2.5, so nothing like the UK model engine.

And as I've said before, far and away the biggest plus point - on a JDM you get a rear windscreen wiper!

Bought mine from Sam at Jperformance. Genuine bloke (only early 20's but very mature), he sells the scoobys and evos, his dad the lambos and ferraris etc etc. The cars they get seem of decent quality although all I've seen have been uk not jdm.
