Default anyone tried aztec newage Sti drilled disc and kevlar pads.

I was wondering if anyone has tried aztec Fast Road Performance 326mm Drilled & Grooved Discs + Kevlar Fast Road Pads? I currently have the standard sti v8 brakes. Do they wear well? Any rust issues like on ebc?

Regards.

I've got the aztecs drilled discs with there kevlar fast road pads all round on my newage sti which previously replaced the standard discs and red ebc pads.

im not an expert in brakes but speaking from experience in what I had before to the aztec setup the discs/pads are top draw.

If your going all round then I would suggest changing the brake lines to a set of HEL or goodridge as these are a worth while upgrade also.

I cannot see any rust or any issues with the setup although I do get brake dust but not as much as I used too, or its a lack of me not getting the car washed ofetn enough.

other than that i'm impressed with the setup for the money i've paid.
hope this helps

Depending on the use intended for them, It might be wise to get just grooved and NOT drilled as they can crack when overheated.

Another vote for grooved, NOT drilled an...
I know that Ian at Godspeed doesn't do drilled discs any more for the reason given above.

Have you contacted Godspeed? Ian makes his own stuff and is VERY competetive......

He also gives free advice on here and warranties his discs against warping, even with track use...not many places will do THAT

I will see regarding godspeed disc. It waw just that the altec are on 100 pounds for disc and pads and you can't compete with that price?

Regards.

Don't know about the discs, but i've had a set of these generic kevlar pads and they were terrible. A set of £30 pagid pads from euros car parts were better.

I don't know the spec of your car, but mine has the basic performance stuff done - I saw the light and realised that good brakes make a difference and my STI now has a set of performance friction z rated on. Like night and day, seriously.
