Hi Guys.
About 10mm crack on the neck (brass) of header tank.
Any chance to fix it by using some glue such as epoxy etc. or welding is my only option ?
Thank You

The amount of pressure and temp id say weld is the only realy safe option, epoxy etc have a max temp usually of like 100, i wouldnt want to risk a leak really with epoxy

Thanks guys.
I knew that welding is the best bet but had I little hope that there is...
Never mind, will take it off and find a place that could repair it for me locally.
Ps. This is my new (second hand) header tank I've just bought :-(
Didn't check properly on collection and discovered this while fitting. Seller said that will refund me the amount spent on repair.
How un lucky was this ??!!
Needed a header tank ASAP to have a car running on Monday, travelled 35 miles each way and finally have no use from it because of this...
AAAARRRGGGGHHHH !!!!

Sorted :-)
My local Radiator company fit the new top saying that crack was too big to be welded/soldered. It cost me £30 which I've informed the seller about. He replied saying that's OK and give me a call tomorrow due to being busy ATM. We will see. Hopefully I'll get £30 back.
