Default Tracking and balancing done, still not right.

Hi, I paid for tracking and balancing and my wheel still pulls to the left a bit, on close inspection of my car I can see one wing is very slightly a different shade to the rest of the car (this is the wheel that couldn't be fully aligned) there is also some welding work been done previously under this section.

What am I looking at to correct this, chassis alignment or something similar? the car looks fine but has likely been in a bump in its past (even though HPI clear)

Thanks

what exactly couldn't be aligned???
unless the subframe is out of line then the most likely suspects would be a bent hub or strut??

Had a similar issue with a car that I bought that was hit. The whole sub frame gear box had been moved a couple of mm which caused pulling under acceleration to the near side.

The guy who did the alignment (demon tweeks) said it could be a strut or lower arm but as it has had a knock in the past I was wondering if it could be something more significant? I'm not much of a mechanic just seems like something needs adjusting / realigning that isn't the wheel

You might find it's simply your tyre has worn odd and you are going into panic mode lol.

Swap your front tyres from side to side and see if it pulls the other way.

Thanks

Uploaded with ImageShack.us

As you can see the only red area left is where it had the previous bump and repair

** I also had two brand new Falken tyres as the previous ones had worn on the outside rim due to this issue

Standard suspension?

Start by replacing the arm with a second hand piece, guess that's your first step.

Just to let you know that setup will give you understeer when driving fast, i use to have a similar setup.

You could equal the front camber to 1.25 like the rears, better handling but just means you might get caught out by oversteer.

I run 1.5 on the fronts and 1 on the rears.

Thanks

I have the same problem. Pulling to the left. Geometry correct. Inside shoulder of right front Falken 452 wears excessively.

Took it to the Falken dealer yesterday and they stuck it on the ramp and said both front arm rear bushes were gone which they probably are as one has started to rub the chassis and you can see a rust mark on the rubber where the washer should be. Could be worth checking on yours.

Also did an internet search and came across a few stories of Falken 452s wearing excessively on the inside shoulders.

Drivers side, the guy said he couldn't adjust it anymore which led him to believe there was another problem (long arm, strut etc)

The pull is due to the high OSF castor and the camber lean. It all points to the lower arm being bent. On the plus side if you fit an EZ camber adjuster bolt this will adjust/ correct the camber position and reduce the pull.

Cool, so replacing the lower arm should sort it?
