A electronic one and if so where is the sensor mounted

Got one for the impreza but I have quipped fuel lines but not sure how secure a dangly sensor will be

I got a sard fuel regulator with a machanical gauge but just for peace of mind (and fill a hole) I bought a extra gauge for in the car

The sender for my Defi one is mounted into the fuel pressure regulator, an aftermarket bit fitted when the engine was rebuilt.

Stick the new sensor in where the mechanical gauge is now .... why would you need both?
