"Burp the system" LOL.

There is no reliable way to bleed the system once it airlocks. The trick is to NOT airlock it in the first place.
Do a search on hert for threads by me about how to refill without airlocking.

Replacing the hose is as simple as letting some coolant out at the bottom of the rad, driver's side if there is a drain. If not, loosen and remove bottom hose passenger side.

Then undo both jubilee type clips and wiggle to free them, squeeze and pull the hose to remove it.

When was the coolant last changed? Might be worth putting new stuff in for the £10 it'll cost. Just drain down, swap the hose and refill.

You might as well do it now if you can afford it, since you are going to lose some in changing the hose.

Why does it need changing? Split?
