My 2.0 was over 100k before I decided it needed a rebuild ( nothing really wrong with itjust wanted 2.1) ,,,I just got another hawkeye 2.5 with 50k on so only time will tell on that one lol

2.0 2002 sti 107k on the clock. 330bhp for first 70k miles and been at 400 ish for the last 37k. Engine never been apart. Worst ive had is the radiator crack oh and the crank pulley fall apart

I also have a 01 bugeye wagon as a daily. 122.000 miles on the clock and still going strong. It is driven hard every day because of the snow and ice just can't resist sliding every corner

my classic uk just got sold with 93k on the clock, engine runs fine. new car's engine let go, 2.5 haweye wrx.

so 9 of them have failed it equals 36%. This number is not reliable at all because we would need thousands of votes before we could believe these numbers.

Sounds like a random number pulled out of thin air then posted as fact to me I believe IM claimed 7% of Hatches failed during the warranty period. Still un-exceptable and even more un-exceptable was the way IM treated their costumers with accusations and lack of support. It was just a pity subaru didn't really address the issue as from a manufacturing point of view it was an easy fix. Trouble is the Japanese are arrogant and do not readily admit fault.
