Red face

I keep an accurate record of my consumption and after nearly 3000 miles it is averaging 18.4 mpg. Ok, I do drive it like it's meant to be driven but most of the time it's doing a normal mix of town and motorway and never been on a track....yet. Normal Super unleaded (usually Shell) and no engine mods appart from Prodrive back box.
Is there something appart from my leaden right foot that can be adjusted or is this normal?

I think that will be roughly right. Mine does a similar mix, and probably dont cane it as much as I would like......I get circa 20 mpg.

Sounds about right - of course mine isnt a P1, I got my dealer to throw in some extra doors, a stereo (cr4p yes, but hey free!!)and I got him to give me a discount of about £10,000 - yes, £10,000!!!! brilliant eh??? not slower on 'real' roads either

Put those flame throwers down this instant - I'm NOT in the mood to play tonight!!

Wink

For what it's worth, my P1's better on the old motion lotion than my old Volvo T4 was.

Volvo = 200Bhp
Scoob = 280Bhp

Given that the Swedes are big on efficiency & emissions, the Scoob does quite well.

Pete

Take a ride in a P1 - you'll see where the 10k went

Kurt

Glad you found a 'FUN' topic sw_hunt, lets see if this starts WW3 like mine do shall we??? YAWN YAWN - so? you reckon I should be removed from this BBS do you? I certainly take the words of one who spends 3000 miles checking his fuel figures and writing them in a little book very seriously - NOT!!! ha ha ha you are one SAD one

Thumbs up

Well, Rich - I'll give you some clues:-

I bought it NEW from a UK Subaru dealer last May

It is the better equiped version of the P1

Its numbers are limited to those who want to buy them - just like the P1 - they STILL have some for sale I hear tell - no need to hurry they are not flying out the doors!

It has a radio/cassette

It has 5 doors

It has silver wheels whereas the 2 door saloon has nice OZ anthracites on

My dealer let me have mine for £10,000 less than the 2 door he had and couldnt sell

The 2 door also had a warning about towing on the inside of the door pillar - whats all that about?? will it not tow a nice caravan then?? - maybe it is a little low on torque??

I would say that mine does around the 20 to the gallon mark, slightly less when the ol right foot gets a bit heavy

My RB5 WRSport!!

I did think about a P1 and the cost to change was around 10 grand.

I really couldn't justify it as it was better, but not _that_ much better (IMHO).

This was after doing a good 250miles in the P1 on back roads (plus a few laps of Donington)

Hi Pete,

My P1 has cost me £31000.00 including this spec

18in wheels
Recaro prodrive seats
Alcon brakes
Gas charge lamps
Scoobysport exhaust.

So what is this car that is as good.

Rich
