Check out the news story 'Bug Eyes Axed On Impreza' on http://www.evo.co.uk/ (sorry forgot how to hyperlink it).
"Confirmed by bosses" and "Debut at Paris motor show" "on sale Jan 2003".
I prefer the MY01 car - but hate the dreadful bug eyes. Looks like I'll be delaying my purchase by a few months.

Maybe but isn't this magazine more repected than most on this board.
Also, the journo is open to be 'found out' if the car doesn't show up in Paris.
It may not be such a big deal - they could just be putting some Morrette-style headlamps in at the factory to replace those they stole from the Toyota Corrolla parts bin :-)

Dave, in fairness would a press release be likely this early? I also am looking at a new MY02, and will be pleased to delay until Jan 03 if I can squish the bugs. Isn't official policy to keep stumm for a bit longer so they don't decimate this year's sales?

Just seen the yellow car, what a pile. I saw a yellow sti4 last week in Milton Keynes, now that looked lovely, even without the obligatory high spoiler
