Just curious peolpe what are your fuel costs a month for impreza daily drivers as im putting in £170 - £200 a month.
I only work 5 miles away maybe its all the small journeys i do that it seems high. Think im only getting 15 to 20 miles a gallon.

Don't feel bad lofty I'm in the same position as you
Tbh I couldn't care less about fuel, I don't spend my money on crap anymore an I enjoy my car every time I get in there, money well spent in my book
Getting an exhaust leak sorted now and a map tweak next month and fingers crossed it may get a little better

a 20 miles each way commute (1/2 in heavy traffic) give me almost exactly 300 miles to 50 ltrs when the orange light comes on from std 98. = 10.4ltr/100 Km or 27Mpg
which in local money is about 82euros.
just tried VPower 2 weeks ago, and too soon to confirm, but I appear to be getting about 325-330miles from the same 50ltrs.
= 9.6L/100km or 29Mpg

When i was using the Impreza every day it was just over £400 per month.
I now use a diesel to go to work in, and the Mrs uses the Impreza for her commute (much more local)

Having driven diesels for about 15 years before I got the scooby I can tell you, the burble of a scooby is far better than the clatter of a diesel, yeah MPG is good for a diesel, but you don't realise the noise you are suffering until you get back into a petrol car.
I fill up with v Power about every 10 days, the Skoda Fabia VRS would have gone all month on £70

I must spend about 40 a week, get 200 miles from that. That's country b roads with a few a roads.
So that's 31.5mpg according to this site http://www.fuel-economy.co.uk/calc.shtml
