If the Policeman that pulled me over today......
.......is on here then I would just like to thankyou.
I was driving along this morning minding my own business, with my small sized numberplate when in the opposite direction comes a Police Car, he went past me, put his lights on then turned around and followed me until I pulled over. I guessed what it was for straight away. The driver of the Police car came over and asked me if I knew why I was pulled and I replied Yes. He started filling out the details for a £60 fine, took my photo incase I comtested it etc. After getting out the car and talking to the other Officer who owned a 95 Classic, I think, I noticed a RAF Regiment lapel badge on the Officer, I enquired "Was you in the RAF?" his reply, "Yes, what about yourself?" My reply saw me showing my Army ID card and just getting a telling off and sent on my way!
Just wanted to say, Thanks, you're both top blokes!

Wow, bad mistake to admit why you are being pulled over. Could have been for something completely different and you have given them something else.
Like if you are driving without a seatbelt on and they pull you over for speeding, they can now nick you for two things!
Anyway, well done for saving £60!

I got stopped too on boxing day, Set off from the lights behind a golf gti following it in the flow of traffic, A copper stood down the road with a hand held detector let the golf go and pulled me He told me to watch my speed as it crept up to 36mph, Breath tested me and sent me on my way, They are not all bad.

A telling off for something minor always seems the fair option to throwing the book at you. Suppose it is a results business and the old bill have targets and league tables to think about now!

Agree about not admitting you know why they've stopped you... always be polite though, I was stopped in Twickenham for my 3/4 sized plate on my old Blobeye, the new PC they had with them filled out the 7 day wonder and sent me on my way

I was pulled over in the North West when visiting recently... gave it some beans from the lights so I could pull over as the lanes filtered. Turned out the battered old car two behind the guy next to me was undercover.
Was given a polite telling off and told to be a bit more considerate and careful as there had been accidents on that road. Totally fair and very decent of the officer who could have given me a very hard time instead

I was kind of being a bit illegal giving it the beans part. It was a 40mph dual carriageway and let's just say I flexed her in first, second and third lol
