Default 225 or 235 tyres on 03 sti

Hi, bought 03 sti the other week and needs tyres. I am getting BC's on it and do not want the wheels to foul the arch. They are 18x8 Prodrive Pffs.

However I do not want the rim to be to exposed as am getting them powder coated.

Will 225/40s give enough rim protection - am getting vredesteins

Or will 235/40 give better protection but have arch problems.

Thanks

I had 235 on my old STi running BC coilovers and never had issues with 18 x 8 Speedline Turini's

I tried 235 tyres on my car. Didn't seem as great at taking corners and had to get on the brakes a little more.

225 is correct for newage . 235 is noticeable like I mentioned but depending on how you drive and set up.

Horses for courses etc.

UK Widetracks have 225. JDM Widetrack has 235.

As Daz says the JDMs come with 235 as standard so If you're looking for a bit of extra protection for the rims go with 235
