Default VF34 ON A 2.5L WRX?

I am planning to upgrade my turbo on my 2007 impreza hawkeye wrx to the VF34.

Would this turbo work fine with my 2.5L engine? searching online, it mentions its safe with a 2.0L engine but nothing about for a 2.5L.

Any advise if this would work reaching to 300-310bhp?

or should i be looking into the VF43/48?

VF34 will be fine for that engine. It will spool quickly but run out of puff at the top of the rev range. These turbos are good for 350ish bhp.

What other mods are you running? My goal is to get 300-310 bhp. Got the prodrive pack put in doing at 265bhp. Getting the vf34 turbo, fuel pump and STI tmic.

Don't quote me on this but if u do get the new turbo then you ll have to get it mapped, so it wouldn't matter about the ppp ?

Nice... Yeah many have told me I would need to remap.. Once I upgrade I shall be taking it to The nearest place to get it remapped. Unfortunately that's the only thing that made me think twice since they're a 12 hour drive away.

43/48 are flow more than a 34 would........

depends on your needs but will happily do 330ish with a mountain of torque and pretty much zero lag (spool under 2K!!) - responds like a Turbo Diesel BUT will feel breathless above 5K/5.5K as they sturggle to flow enough air at the top end.......

As a road car im sure a VF34 would be ideal with super early spool and pretty much no lag. Would be a bit rubbish on a track car with no top end mind.
