There was a bug Sti for sale in a garage round the corner from me, in the usual blue colour and looked pretty clean, I'll have a look if its still there, it was around the 5k but sure there would be some room for bartering

This one might come down in price (I don't know the car, the garage / seller or it's history so you'd have to go see for yourself if its any good), it might be worth a punt (since its a buyers market) and I know its been up for months as I kept seeing it when I was looking:

EDIT to add: You will struggle to find an STI at that kind of money, unless you go for a (possibly abused) classic. I would look at Modded WRX's.

Had my Bug from new, yes if looks meant everything then not the best but the running gear is still the same looks are cosmetic and you can upgrade the front end by changing the wings, bonnet, slam panel, bumper, headlight and any bits I forgot. Mine is currently running with coil overs, full power flex bushing, various APS bits, K-sport brakes and other bits at 440 bhp and 106K miles on the ORIGINAL engine. I repair and service it myself and done the modifications myself apart from the mapping of the GEMS ECU.
I LOVE my BUGEYE!!!!!!

Be patient and a car will come up for sale in the price range people tend not to advertise this time of year as its deemed pointless.......
Shame you wasn't looking 12 months ago otherwise you could have bought this off me- https://www.scoobynet.com/subaru-444...preza-sti.html
