Default 2002 Impreza STI.

UPDATED PHOTOS IN POST 5

NEW PRICE OF £5000

The time has come for a change and so for sale is my Bugeye STI in WRB. The car drives and handles superb and still feels nice and tight mechanically and the 6speed still operates smoothly once warmed up. Currently shows 74k on the clock and has full service history to back this up. The service book had been dealership stamped 6 times up til 60k.

1. @10444
2. @21789
3. @31915
4. @42621
5. @49761
6. @59297

MOT- 20.3.2012
TAX- August 2012

Since then the car has been looked after by Xtremescoobies and FB Tuning and i have reciepts to back this up. In July last year, the car went in to have a new exedy clutch and flywheel fitted plus new timing belt, pulleys and tensioners along with aircon and alternator belts. A new water pump, A.P.I oil pump, Zerosports thermostat and a new Walbro 255 fuel pump were fitted as i felt while it's all off.. And covered less than 6k since.

In the last 10 months the car has gone from being COMPLETELY STANDARD to having the following spec-

VF48 Brand new.
Miltek 3" system
Ported headers with Dei heat wrap.
Harvey smith uppipe.
Samco inlet pipe.
3 port boost solenoid.
Cosworth timing belt
7B plugs.
Turbo jacket.
Green cotton panel filter.
Zero sports thermostat.
A.P.I modified oil pump.
Exedy uprated clutch.
FB Tuning with a meth mix.
Whiteline 22mm front arb
Whiteline 24mm rear arb
CDF front and rear droplinks
Prodrive lowering springs
Sti struts with bump stop mods- V8 Sti set with low miles.
18" inovit redline alloys in anthracite
Falken 452's- 225-40-18
Godspeed discs
Kevlar pads
Prodrive front bumper
orciari wrc 4 piece adjustable rear wing
Scoobyworld rear newage lights
scoobyworld mudflaps
polished radiator cooling shroud
polished fuse box cover
aluminum sti battery clamp
Psi3 secs data monitor
Centre pod
prosport oil pressure
Prosport oil temp
Prosport boost
centre pod

The tires and alloys have covered roughly 5k and are like new, the disks and pads were fitted at the same time. The sti struts and springs are from a low mileage car that came from a member on here
The car then had a Prodrive Geometry setup done by Elite tires in Rainham Essex.
The car is run on Silkolene Pro S 10-50 with the the oil and filter being changed every 2-3k. This car is always allowed to warm up properly and is kept below 3k revs until the oil is upto the 80c running temp and also driven off boost for the last mile of any journey.

The car was mapped by Richard @ FB Tuning and made 341 bhp and a peak boost of 1.4bar but was being restricted by the 2.5 system and sports cat so after 2 weeks the car went back in and was mapped with a Miltek 3" system. It now has a peak boost of 1.55 and is around the 360-370 mark but has no dyno plot. During the mapping session Rich commented on how strong the engine felt and said that it would easily go to 420+ with a bigger turbo and injectors. The car is currently setup for 99ron and 20% meth mix but can be map tweaked for solely super unleaded if this is more suitable for the new owner. There is Zero det/knock and has a decent amount of advanced timing which makes for a very good fast spooling car. Any interested parties are more than welcome to speak either Rich @ FB tuning or Paul @ Xtremescoobies as both can vouch for the car

I will add more recent pics tomorrow but for now-

This is all the service history and reciepts

Cobra alarm and immobilser, Smart tracker fitted.

The car is located is Essex.

Looking for £5200 ovno.

07742 555570 Lee

Or px for a well spec'd classic- CASH EITHER WAY

If i have forgotten any details please let me know and i shall correct the post

I am surprised nobody has commented on the ad yet
Normally by now someone would come along and slagged off the car or said it was over priced etc

Where have all the haters gone.....

I never used to be either but a few subtle changes and they really look good plus the engine and box is good for 450+ on the standard internals.

Forgive my ignorance (ex Evo owner looking for a scoob) what makes the standard block and box good for 450hp on these?

The Bugeye Sti has forged pistons similar to the jdm sti's and built to withstand more bhp. There is plenty of bug owners runnning 400+ and i do believe there is some are close to the 500 mark!

There is a delay of 15 days apparently, so until i have cash in my hand this is still for sale.

I accepted a offer of £5000 as the vehicle has now developed a squeaky wheel bearing (on righthand turn only) and will need to be replaced or someone risks being annoyed to death.
