I'm targeting a specific few of us here, but has anyone else who uses the Shell filling station on London Road, Oadby, noticed that their SDC points aren't being recorded on their account?

I got my card at the beginning of September and have had to scan and e-mail all my receipts since then to the SDC to get them credited.

I used another Shell garage at Wisbech in early October and they went straight on, so I assume it's not a card fault.

The staff at Oadby are sympathetic, and their card reader always says 'Accepted', but it's still the same for me every time.

Shell say they are looking into it, but I wondered if anyone else has had the same problem. I know that, relatively speaking, the points are almost worthless, but in these hard times, any saving is welcome.

Is the card reader under the desk/in view? Are they skimming there own drivers card to rack up the points and giving you your card back (without actually swiping it)

True this is the old fashion scam which was for a period of time the same for credit/debit cards. They used to swipe the cards twice once for payment and the other for recording your card details for making duplicates for fraud.

I am an SDC memeber and I will check they points have been added. I do remember setting up an email service to notify me when the points have been added.

It's all done with the card reader on top of the counter, in fact they offered to let me swipe it myself on one visit, but who knows where the cable leads after that of course.

I wonder what Shell will come up with, but in the meantime, I'm keeping every receipt.

i was getting a £40 fuel voucher every 3 months, but now im only getting £12 fuel voucher every 3 months, and im still filling up once a week in the type r and 4-5 times a week in the transit and thats full tanks of vpower petrol diesel ????????

Just an update. I bought some fuel at the Shell 'Trocadero' garage on the Uppingham Road in Leicester on Saturday and the points were on my account this morning. So it looks like there is something fishy going on at the London Road, Oadby station

I'd suggest you check your SDC accounts if you've bought your fuel there recently folks.
